Abstract
Interface Management ( IM ) is the management of the interdependencies and responsibilities across the interfaces of project phases which these points offering great potential for improvement and also a project success is realized through the proper management of communication, coordination, and responsibility across a common boundary between two organizations, phases, and independent physical entities. Therefore, there is an important relationship between IM and project success. Despite the fact that employers prefer to choose projects in Design-Build ( DB ) delivery system, these projects still don’t achieve the integrity of design and implementation, and they face many reworks. Even though DB projects have great potential for implementing interface management because of the overlaps which create probable problems, but they are rarely discussed. This article by referring to gaps among studies and the importance of design-construction interface and managing it in DB projects, provides a framework for future research.
