Gossip Strategy

“You Are More Than Enough!”

We all live in an environment that imposes many things on our lives and puts our tangible and intangible assets at risk, intentionally or unintentionally. Therefore, we would have to defend our rights in trials or against violators, but the story is more complicated than expected. Sometimes, we don’t have enough evidence to prove our claims about the damages we have sustained, and we end up condemning others for their violations. In these circumstances, some strategies and tactics could help us call documents and witnesses proving the charges based on unrevealed facts, like “Gossip Strategy”. What does “Gossip” refer to in this essay?

I want to differentiate between “gossip” and “rumour”. Rumour is trumped-up information without external reality, but gossip is based on true information that hasn’t yet been disclosed and exists in people’s hearts or minds. Therefore, we need some motivation or leverage to extract and ventilate them consequently. Taking advantage of this process, you must keep an eye on its movement direction and intervene whenever required. If you noticed that the process had halted or strayed from your goals, you would rejuvenate it by incorporating new information or involving more reliable people. Never forget that you are the main owner of this process and its results, as some self-seekers may use it to their advantage. To put it another way, it is like a “relay race” where its first and last runners are you! In this competition, numerous reliable witnesses and authentic documents could be discovered that need to be managed and organised. Now, it’s time to embrace your goals by publishing facts or making complaints to get your rights back. This tough process is very burdensome, and its operators should know their end goals from the beginning. Sometimes, we would rather change some thoughts or norms than defend our rights, and these changes themselves would restore our rights. You may ask yourself: “Why should we call alterations in this way? Why does a person change minds indirectly?”

Imagine you work for a company with certain cultural characteristics that are detrimental to your community, and your role lacks sufficient influence to get the courage up to alter them. Additionally, the company has an owner or leaders who dictate conformity to serve their own interests. Piling up people power, you, as a trendsetter, could reach your goals to save your peers and reference networks. Under these conditions, a gossip strategy might enable informal leaders to influence their environment and improve the world we live in.
