There is a nostalgia song among Iranians with this chorus: “They smell your mouth lest if you have said to someone: “I love you!”.” But nowadays, the story is more terrifying; they inspect your mind, seeking your covert beliefs and forced confessions. We must reconsider the final destination of the growth of technology and ask ourselves: “Technology or humanity? The problem is this!”. I heard that a new tool has been discovered, portraying the mind’s imagination and voice through neurons. Scientists claim that by using this technology, they would heal some mental problems and visualize internal dialogues, finding the root causes of the problem more deeply and precisely. By doing so, there should be some legislation to protect the privacy of people and force health communities to intervene with the consent of patients. How about other groups and communities? Will there be an entity to control their activities and the way of using these kinds of technologies? Scientific progress will always be bilateral.
